Doing what we can to help those in need of charity

There is a well known phase that “all charity starts at home”. Yet this story couldn’t be further from the truth. Our story starts with a little girl who is the daughter of a close friend who lives in the United States who unfortunately was born with a very rare condition known as Kasabach-Merritt Syndrome.

The family were devastated, as can be expected, and decided to build up awareness of the disease and one of the ways of letting the general public become aware of this was to build a website informing people of the disease and to help them track the progress of their daughter’s treatment.

Our way of helping them through this hard time was to design and develop a Drupal 7 CMS driven  website which they could easily add content to including links to donations via Paypal, to be able to purchase wristbands and t-shirts online as another stream of donations and for them to be able to write a blog tracking the progress of their daughter’s road to recovery.

There’s also a content managed image gallery so that people can see photos of Autumn Star with her family supporting her every step of the way.

If you would like to support their cause and other’s affected by Kasabach-Merritt Syndrome (KMS) then please visit the website and donate what you can by visiting http://www.kmswithautumnstar.com
